On April 24, 2025, alumni, parents and friends of the College of Arts and Sciences gathered to recognize the generous and loyal supporters of the College and celebrate 50 years of philanthropy! During the evening, the Arts and Sciences Foundation Board of Directors presented Bland Simpson ’73, the Kenan Distinguished Professor of English and creative writing, with the William F. Little Distinguished Service Award, which recognizes a faculty or staff member who has served the College with extraordinary distinction.
The College of Arts and Sciences is grateful for the continued generosity of the nearly 150,000 alumni and friends who have supported the College through the Arts and Sciences Foundation over the past 50 years. We hope you enjoy viewing photos from the evening (below) and a video that shows some of the extraordinary undergraduate students, graduate students and faculty who benefit from philanthropic support.
