The College defines young alumni as graduates who have obtained an undergraduate degree from the College of Arts and Sciences within the last 10 years. Make a Gift: Shape the Future

Giving back ensures that today’s students can access life-changing experiences like study abroad programs, internships and cutting-edge research. Every gift — no matter the size — directly supports the next generation of Tar Heels.

  • Arts and Sciences Fund: Gifts to the Arts and Sciences Fund play a crucial role in funding the College’s highest priorities — recruiting and retaining faculty, enhancing student engagement, deepening academic excellence and achieving global impact. This support helps shape the experience of every student in the College.
  • College of Arts and Sciences Support Areas: Every gift to the College makes a difference. From graduate student support to initiatives that enhance the experiences of students and faculty, there are many opportunities to tailor your support.
  • Departments, Programs and Curricula: The College prepares students to lead meaningful lives through the empowering effects of education and self-knowledge. Gifts to a department, program or curriculum in the College provide academic leaders with needed funds to support the teaching and learning of students.

Join the Dean’s Circle

The Dean’s Circle is the College’s recognition society for leadership level donors to the Arts and Sciences Fund. Gifts at this level are particularly impactful in shaping the experiences of students and teacher-scholars in the College. Young alumni can join the Dean’s Circle with an annual gift or monthly commitment to the Arts and Sciences Fund at the following levels:

Class of 2015-2019: $1,000+/yr. or $83.34+/mo.
Class of 2020-2024: $500+/yr. or $41.67+/mo.

Benefits include an invitation to a donor recognition event, early access to popular lectures and seminars, and insider access calls with Dean White and other key College leadership.

Young Alumni Leadership Council (YALC)

The Young Alumni Leadership Council (YALC), established in 1995, is the place for UNC’s emerging young leaders to advocate for the future of Carolina. By joining, you’ll help educate your peers, foster alumni engagement and encourage annual financial support for the University.

University Career Services

Recent alumni who have been awarded a degree from an eligible program at UNC-Chapel Hill may utilize University Career Services for free until six months after graduation. At any point after graduation, alumni may also obtain career assistance from Carolina Alumni. Services include career coaching, networking opportunities, webinars, and more, to help you navigate the early stages of your professional journey.
